Hunum

During our holiday, my family and I had the pleasure of staying at a charming Bed & Breakfast called Hunum, located in northern Italy. Our host, Luca Capurso, graciously welcomed us into his humble abode.

What captivated us wasn’t just the stunning location, but also Luca’s remarkable journey. During one of our conversations, he shared how he transitioned from being an interior architect in Los Angeles, where he had worked for 12 years, to pursuing a new chapter in his life after the Covid pandemic.

Luca returned to his childhood village and seized the opportunity to purchase a piece of farmland on a mountainside. With patience and determination, he transformed the land into a Bed & Breakfast, complete with hillside cottages that he personally designed. His guiding principle, "No compromise," is evident in every aspect of his business. The hospitality and meticulous craftsmanship are truly exceptional.

Settled on the mountain, the property offers an unparalleled view of the majestic peaks on the opposite side—truly priceless. Luca’s dedication extends beyond hosting; he is also a committed farmer. Many of the ingredients for the meals served—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are locally sourced and produced on-site. His culinary expertise and attentive service made every meal a delight. Our stay was nothing short of unforgettable, and we had an incredible time.

Luca’s story is a testament to the power of entrepreneurship, resilience, and perseverance. Pursuing a dream and seeing it through is something I deeply admire. I wish him the very best in all his future endeavors. For more information about the origins of Hunum and Luca’s personal journey, visit his website: https://www.hunum.it.
